摘要：A nuclear reactor includes a reactor pressure vessel and a core barrel ,contained within the reactor pressure vessel . The reactor further includes a singlevertical support , for transmitting vertical load from the core barrel to the reactorpressure vessel. Further, lateral support means is provided at an elevation which is above
that of the support to provide lateral support to the core barrel . This arrangement willresult in reduced stress arising from the temperature fluctuations.
